Minimising our environmental footprint and maximising our social and ethical impact
Operating responsibly shapes how we source and supply organic produce, guided by clear standards, transparent supply chains and long-term grower partnerships.
Through responsible sourcing, ethical labour practices and environmental stewardship, we deliver produce with integrity while protecting people, the planet and supply chain resilience.
Our commitments
PRODUCT
We are committed to reducing food waste and improving packaging choices across our product offer.
PLANET
We are committed to lowering our environmental impact and strengthening long-term resilience through climate action, sustainable agriculture and responsible natural resource management.
PEOPLE
We are committed to upholding fair, safe and respectful working conditions across our supply chain, with a focus on protecting human rights and supporting well-being.
Supporting Biodiversity
Across our British organic apple orchards, we are proud to be working with FWAG (Farming & Wildlife Advisory Group) to help biodiversity thrive. Together, we are creating habitat, reducing mowing and adopting more nature-friendly land management to support pollinators such as native bee populations, farmland birds and healthier orchard ecosystems. We are already seeing stronger pollinator activity, and through supplementary winter feeding we are also supporting red list farmland bird species including yellowhammer, skylark and linnet, a reflection of our passion for helping British farming, nature and organic apple production flourish together.

Food Surplus & Waste
Reducing food surplus and waste is embedded in how we operate, and our progress so far reflects the strength of this approach. Since our baseline year in 2019, we have reduced food waste by 79% by working closely with packing partners, customers and food redistribution organisations, including City Harvest, to make sure surplus food is put to good use. Where food cannot be redistributed for people, we support animal feed donation as part of a practical, responsible approach that keeps valuable produce in use for as long as possible.
Upholding Human Rights & Tackling Modern Slavery
We are committed to ethical trade and responsible recruitment, working with growers, suppliers and partners to build a supply chain that respects people and protects rights. Our approach focuses on the most material risks, supported by clear standards, due diligence, independent audits and targeted action on issues such as modern slavery, worker welfare and responsible recruitment. Through this work, we take a zero-tolerance approach to exploitation, forced labour and human trafficking, while striving to create long-term positive impact beyond compliance alone.
